Online InquiryLiposomal Encapsulation Services: miRNA
Online InquiryIn the field of gene therapy, liposomal formulations can be made by encapsulating miRNA in liposomes for use in targeted delivery systems. Liposomes are spherical vesicles composed of a lipid bilayer that provide an ideal vehicle for protecting miRNA and delivering it to specific target cells or tissues. Liposomes play a role in the encapsulation process by protecting miRNAs from nuclease degradation and thus efficiently delivering them only to the corresponding target cells.
BOC Sciences' miRNA Encapsulation Technology
BOC Sciences offers miRNA encapsulation technologies in liposomes, and we can select the appropriate technology according to the customer's needs in order to efficiently complete the project for the customer.
(1) Membrane Solubilization Method
This method involves dissolving liposomes and miRNA in a co-solvent, and then removing the co-solvent by solvent evaporation to enable effective binding of liposomes to miRNA.
(2) Slow Drip Method
The operation of Slow Drip Method is to prepare miRNA solution and liposome suspension respectively, and then slowly add miRNA solution into liposome suspension, in this process, miRNA can be gradually encapsulated in liposomes.
(3) Thin Film Hydration Method
This method requires the preparation of a liposome solution and then removal of the solvent to obtain a liposome film. The miRNA solution is slowly added dropwise to the film, and under certain conditions, liposomes are re-formed, thus encapsulating the miRNA into liposomes.
BOC Sciences' miRNA Encapsulation Services
BOC Sciences' miRNA encapsulation service in liposomes mainly includes the following procedures:
- Supply of Liposomes
Regarding liposome products, you can supply the corresponding liposomes by yourself, but for the requirements of liposomes, you can consult with our technical staff. Generally, the liposomes we need are of high quality, which requires you to provide information about the characterization (morphology, composition, stability, etc.) of the liposomes.
If you need us to provide liposomes, you can provide your requirements to our technicians, and we will customize high-quality liposomes according to your requirements.
- miRNA Encapsulation Service in Liposomes
BOC Sciences' technicians can encapsulate miRNA in liposomes according to the liposome encapsulation technology, which can encapsulate not only miRNA, but also siRNA, DNA, protein, etc. The efficiency of miRNA encapsulation in liposomes is very low. Since the efficiency of miRNA encapsulation may be related to factors such as lipid charge, lipid-to-miRNA ratio, encapsulation technology, etc., the choice of technology can be made according to the specific situation in order to improve the efficiency of encapsulation.
After miRNA encapsulation, the resulting liposomes need to be thoroughly characterized to assess their physicochemical properties, stability, encapsulation efficiency and release kinetics. Techniques such as dynamic light scattering (DLS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and gel electrophoresis can be used to assess the size, morphology, and integrity of liposomes loaded with miRNA.
- In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation
The biological activity and delivery efficiency of encapsulated miRNAs must be evaluated by in vitro and in vivo studies. In vitro assays assess miRNA uptake, gene expression, and protein production in target cells, while in vivo studies determine the biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic efficacy of miRNA-loaded liposomes in animal models.
The liposome encapsulation technologies and services offered by BOC Sciences are not limited to the above. Our R&D team is continuously developing our services and will offer more types of services in the future. If you need a service that is not on the list, you can contact us in a timely manner and we can also provide customized services to meet your needs.
